Parallax photography (the 2.5-d effect) involves cutting images into layers and reconstructing them along the z-axis, giving the images the effect of being almost three dimensional.

I use the 2.5-d parallax technique to create environmental “talking portraits”.

The effect almost stops time, allowing for contemplation.  Snippets from interviews, with the subject, and anvironmetal sounds are often added to the portraits.
